  2. Just wanted to give you an update on the windsucking collar.
It worked wonders on our 7year old.
We are using it for about 2/3 month now and had to tighten it as he lost all those muscles at the higher neck due to the windsucking.
He can still do that outside but hardly ever does.
The neck at bottom has developed so well even eventing fit he Never looked that good.
He has also finally put on the weight he needed.
Thank you ever so much for offering that Perfect piece of Equipment.

  4. Hi Maureen

The Custom Made Overgirth has arrived and it it fantastic! Exactly what I needed and hoped for. I will get a cheque in the post to you tonight.

I never realised, until now, that your website is the one I have been looking at for a few years as I am saving up for one of your stock saddles!! I can't believe it! I searched for an over-girth and never put two and two together.

Going on the quality of the strap and customer care from you, when I need a saddle and have saved up, I will definitely be getting it from you.

    Thank you again

    Louise

  5. Just a quick note to say what a pleasure it has been to deal with Maureen, she has put up with me asking a hundred different questions from sensible to silly and has always gone out of her way to help. I now have two swinging fender saddles and couldn’t be happier. The saddles really do make you feel safe and as a nervous rider this is exactly what I was looking for! I would not hesitate to recommend Horsemanship Saddlery UK to anyone - they are knowledgeable, professional and most importantly honest.

  7. Just wanted to let you know that the saddle arrived safely and was unwrapped with much excitement and care. It now sits on the back of our couch as I can’t bear to put it in the shed with the others. I am getting the most out of the new leather smell and looking at it everyday.
I’ve ridden in it several times already and I thought it might take a bit of getting used to, like most saddles would, but no it is the most comfortable saddle I’ve ever sat in. The quality of the leather is unreal, I haven’t seen leather like that in over 10 years and was starting to think I may never see it again.
I have attached a photo of me in the saddle on my thoroughbred mare Duchess. I thought I would not put the back girth on for the first ride and let her get used to the straps hanging down, I needn’t of worried as she was fine with them and then the girth the next day. Please excuse my closed eyes, oh and yes I know my stirrups were too long, I had already adjusted them once and we were only walking so couldn’t be bothered getting off to do them again. She’s a big horse to climb onto. Feel free to post this letter and photo on your website.
We had a long hack out on the weekend and everyone got to see the saddle and all commented on how nice it is.
Anyway enough dribble from me, just wanted to thank you so much for the great saddle and for getting it to me so quickly. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

  8. "Hi, just to let you know I am getting along really well with my new saddle. My horse (barrel shaped croup high Arab with a forward girth) in this saddle does not seem to be suffering from the constant girth galls she had with previous saddles so I am really pleased. Today my horse was upset by a motorbike and we ended up bouncing into a hedge but because of your brilliant saddle that was made to measure for me with the Aussie poleys I barely moved and felt super secure. Thanks again."

  9. I tried my HP Relief Wilkie today and it was amazing! I have been using a french link Wilkie, but my mare (showjumper) was never very settled in her mouth. Today, however, she settled immediately after the change of bit to yours and worked with a steady headset the whole time. I am thrilled as I thought this day would never come. Thank you. x

  10. Hi John

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Haydon and I - we finally did our first 20km social (endurance) ride on the weekend. Haydon (Standardbred) was an absolute star on the ride including helping out another horse and rider even though it was his first ride! We weren't as prepared as we should have been however in a testament to your fantastic saddle, I was comfortable for the whole 4 hours and so was my horse. He had all As and 1s for his final vet check for back, withers, gait etc. The only mark that was a bit down was gut sounds (a C) but everything else was top marks.

It was a huge achievement with everything we have been through - I finally got my big girl pants on and just did it thanks to your advice and assistance!

  11. Today was my first ride on my breaker. And first ride in my saddle I got from you. Just wanted to tell you that I am thrilled with the fit and security. And even more the natural position it puts my legs in. This was exactly what I was looking for in a saddle for the beginning on my horses career.
    Thank you so much.

I already have an HP Reiief pelham and love it, so I will have to get saving for a saddle as well!

  13. I have recently got one of these hp saddles from Maureen who is the UK agent, so far I am extremely impressed. It is fantastic quality leather and workmanship, perfect fit to my horse, and most importantly as a nervous rider myself the main benefit is that you feel so much safer because you are a lot more secure than in an English saddle. I have not tried any other stock or western saddles so I don't know what others are like but I'm certainly not disappointed. I will say there are lots and lots of choices as to how you want the saddle ie colurs, patterns, design etc and quite a few measurements of both horse and rider need to be taken but Maureen will help with this.
I love your HP Relief snaffle as well and Dan works really well in it, much better than he did in his Myler Comfort snaffle.
